Music

Rose has been performing as a folk singer/songwriter since 2007, and has supported and worked with many artists including Boo Hewerdine, Phil Beer, Ethan Johns, Raurri Joseph, Jenna Witts, Kristina Olsen, Naw and Woodford Green.

She released her first album ‘Coco’s Jar’ in 2007 with the group The Roholio Project – a folk duo with Tim Pointer. Rose then followed this with 2009’s ‘Spilling the Beans’ – predominantly a solo album and under the new heading Roholio; but featuring a lot of musician friends, such as Brendon Taylor and Tom Saunders. In July 2012 Roholio finally released the third album, ‘Ghosts’ which marked a new musical direction utilising synthesizers, mandolins and guitars to create a raw, honest album which was a world away from the acoustic, laid-back vibes of ‘Spilling the Beans’.

Roholio became a very fluid group over the next year, incorporating original member Tim Pointer along with a bassist and she proudly launched her fourth album, Evergreen in 2013. Roholio evolved again to a duo, incorporating a double bassist however after they parted musical ways she took on the task of her fifth album, ‘Geography’ solo. Rose has not recorded solo since her ‘demo days’ and so ‘Geography’ will be her first studio album to feature no other musicians. The album features meaty mandolin, beautiful banjo, gutsy and graceful guitar with heaps of harmonies and was launched September 10th 2014 at The Queen’s Theatre with support from Kiera Osment.

Departing from the name Roholio, Roseanna is now performing under her full name and looking forward to many upcoming events in 2015.
